Gladiator Monthly Finals *Report

Gladiator hosted our monthly finals for the 'old style' July leaderboard this past Sunday, and with 9 full tables it was going to be a long day! ....Not though for Dursley player Andy Scott a previous two time winner of the monthly final.. who was the first player out.

Once again we have a player from every region representing on the final table, home team gloucester having the most with 3 players.

Clive Smith from the Gladiator pub was the bubble as the blind levels at 4k-8K start to hurt the short stacks

Mike Sharratt from Bath was the next out when Steve Porter had raised in middle postion to 27K, Mike Sharratt called and was all in for 19K.

Anthony O'Neil from Bristol was unlucky to go out in 7th place when his pocket 8's could not hold up against Mike hopes Q 5

Next we saw 3-way action when Simon Inglis pushed all-in for 8.5K, with the blinds now out 6K-12K it was a automatic call from SB and BB

Flop 6 10 3 both players checked Turn 2 'checked' River 10 Ian bet out 12k but Mike Hopes folded so Ian took the side pot and main pot with quad 10's!

Neil Blewitt from Gloucester was next out when Lisa Mumford raised 40K... Neil then pushed with his remaining stack 43K costing Lisa 3K more to call

Lisa 7 7 Neil A J Neil could not catch up and was out in 5th place

Previous to the out hand Lisa Mumford was unlucky to lose 75% of her stack when her pocket 9's ran into Q's!
Two hands later and Lisa was allin for her final 35k...and her 8 5 suited could not hold up against a full house!

Steve who plays out of the Gladiator Inn in Gloucester was on his first ever final table, and with homefield advantage and a good chip lead he was hoping to cap it off with a 1st place finish!

Blinds had been capped at 10K-20K to give the players a little room for play, and even though Ian got the better of Steve it wasn't long before he was caught out trying to bluff at one pot to many....
